Client Focused

At OFBC we are focused on our client relationships. As a Universal Banker, you report to the Financial Center Manager and are a vital contact for our clients. You are client focused, ensuring all visitors feel welcome the moment they walk in the door by helping clients with all their retail banking needs and transactions. You are responsible for accurately handling all banking needs of our clients, including deposits, withdrawals, cashier's checks, and foreign exchange. In addition, UB's, through their conversations with the clients, listen to uncover financial needs and recommend solutions to help clients improve their financial situation, you act as a resource in identifying and resolving client servicing issues through strong client relationship skills.

Your Role

  • Greet clients as they enter the financial center by welcoming them and making them feel appreciated.
  • Handle transactions efficiently and accurately by accepting account deposits and withdrawals, verifying cash and endorsements of checks.
  • Assist clients and the financial center team by helping with new account openings.
  • Participate in various sales activities including outbound phone calls designed to acquire new consumer clients and deepen relationships with current clients.
  • Participate in the consumer loan and credit card process, managing client applications from origination through closing.
  • Engage and partner with team members and other lines of business to offer the most appropriate products and tools to help clients meet their financial goals.
Requirements
  • Excellent client service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of bank clients.
  • College degree or work experience providing necessary skills, or, combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in the financial industry not required.
  • Previous cash handling experience is beneficial.
  • Proficient computer skills, which includes the ability to use a keyboard, ten-key pad and basic capability to access information contained within bank wide systems.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities, work in a fast paced, changing environment and maintain a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Follow policies, procedures and written instructions, as well as verbal instructions or directions from his/her manager.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
