Senior Accountant

Century Group has partnered with an Environmental Services organization who is seeking a Senior Accountant. This is an onsite position located in Martinez. This is a direct hire position. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting salary: $85,000 to $110,00 per year.
Job Description:
Prepare and process monthly tax filings (e.g., sales taxes and excise taxes in various jurisdictions)
Assist with annual audits (financial statement, workers compensation, bank collateral, 401k) and prepare related schedules.
Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly financial reports and presentation materials.
Perform other ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Work with management and project managers on project financial projections.
Develop and monitor systems to make sure projects are set up and tracked properly.
Determine proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated dollar and time limits.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
5-7 years experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
