We are looking for a dedicated Exercise Physiologist PRN like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and Qualifications* This is a PRN position, hours are typically 8am-5pm weekdays. Will fill in as needed to cover patient census and open shifts *Our Exercise Physiologist provides effective care of a diverse range of inpatient/outpatient cardiac patients, collaborating with Physician, Technicians, Nurses, Allied Health Practitioners, and Volunteers. With our experienced team, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional level of coordinated care throughout treatment to all patients. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.What You Will Do In This Role You will assist with initial and daily assessments of patients, prepare patients for telemetry monitoring, modify and monitor exercise prescriptions, record patient data, document daily notes and assist with other patient related activities as assigned by Manager.You will transport patients safely.You will assist with setting up the exercise room, equipment and supplies.You will assist patients with exercise sessions.You will identify and respond to any EKG changes, arrhythmia and/or change in patient’s condition. What Qualifications You Will NeedBachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology , Exercise Science or related degree requiredCurrent BLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association requiredACLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required within 1 year of hire or transferExperience in exercise testing, training and prescription with healthy individuals as well as patient populations and group teaching skills are requiredMedical City Heart & Spine Hospitals are hospitals for specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care.
