Job Summary

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Housekeeping Supervisor, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Job Responsibilities

The Housekeeper assumes daily responsibility in the following areas:

·        Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.

·        Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.

·        Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.

·        Ensure that all equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times.

·        Follow all cleaning schedules and policies established by the facility.

·        Keep supervisor informed of supply needs.

·        Follow all safety protocols and policies carefully.

·        Attend required in-services, or other required meetings.

·        Perform other tasks, duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

·        Ability to make decisions independently, to follow directions and communicate effectively with other team members.

·        Physically capable of doing work that requires frequent lifting, standing, pushing, and pulling.

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·        Reliable, compassionate, and ready to help as needed.

·        High school diploma or equivalent required.

·        Must have good references from previous employers.
