Job Description:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electrical engineering field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ladder logic and programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Rockwell and Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred
  • Experience specifying, installing and troubleshooting DC and AC motor drives systems.
  • Experience with networking equipment, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning. (ideally, as it pertains to Automation Communication).
  • Experience with power distribution systems.
  • Manufacturing experience in the metals or similar industry, with aluminum rolling or processing preferred.
  • Experience with rolling mills and mill controls, shears, strip processing and coiling, metal process furnaces or casting equipment
  • Technical knowledge to support the installation, operation, and repair of electrical controls and automation technology
  • Previous experience with data acquisition systems and data analytics
  • Experience in justifying, managing and executing capital projects.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.?
