Salary: $17.22 HourlyLocation : Rolesville, NCJob Type: temporary/seasonalJob Number: 00107Department: PARKS AND RECREATIONOpening Date: 04/16/2024Closing Date: ContinuousDescriptionThe Town of Rolesville seeks a dedicated Weekend Park Custodian to join our Parks and Recreation Department. Under general supervision, the successful candidate will perform various cleaning activities to ensure the cleanliness and overall sanitation of our park facilities. This role is essential in maintaining our town parks' welcoming and pristine environment. Hours:Peak Season (March-September): 5-7 hours per day on Saturdays and Sundays.Off-Season (October-February): 2-3 hours per day on Saturdays and Sundays.Examples of Duties Park Bathrooms:Sanitize, mop, and rinse restroom floorsClean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, including toilet bowls, urinals, basins, sinks and walls behind sinksClean and sanitize stall partitions and wallsEmpty, clean, and sanitize waste receptaclesClean mirrors with no haze or streaks remainingRefill hand soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue as neededClean and sanitize drinking fountains;Empty outdoor trash cans and pet waste receptacles as needed and replace bags;Remove debris and pick up trash under shelters as needed;Other duties as assignedPark Shelters:Assists with shelter rental oversightEnsures the shelter is clean and available before the guests arrive Supervises rental set-up and breakdownRemoves trash between each rentalCheck bathrooms before and after the rentals to ensure toilet paper, soap, and paper towels are stocked; replace any items that are low or in need of replacementProvides friendly customer service and a welcoming environment to each patronOther duties as assigned Typical Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.Good communication skills.Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.Ability to perform physical tasks and handle cleaning equipment.Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Experience1-2 years experience working with the public and in public restrooms; Supplemental Information Other Requirements:Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
