Remote Medical Specialists is teaming up with CE Medical Group, a trusted leader in healthcare consulting for the past 18 years. We're on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Part time Medical Office Operations Consultant to bring their expertise to our team

As our go-to trainer, you'll guide our Medical Assistants, Receptionists, Insurance Verification Specialists, and Prior Authorization staff, helping them master the ins and outs of insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and patient intake processes. You'll be the key to making sure everyone is on the same page and ready to handle these tasks with confidence and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Onboarding and Training Development
    • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs focused on insurance verification, prior authorization, and medical reception procedures.
    • Tailor training to meet the unique needs of insurance verification specialists and medical reception staff, ensuring they have the tools to handle patient intake, insurance coverage, and authorization processes efficiently.
    • Lead onboarding sessions for new employees, ensuring they are fully equipped to manage insurance verification, prior authorization procedures, and front-desk operations.
    • Provide ongoing education and updates on changes in insurance policies, authorization requirements, and relevant regulations.
    • Collaborate with department managers and team leads to identify areas for improvement and create targeted training solutions.
    • Offer continuous support to staff facing complex cases or questions, ensuring consistent performance.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience:
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in insurance verification, prior authorization, or medical office operations.
    • Prior experience as a trainer or educator in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of insurance verification processes, prior authorization protocols, medical office reception duties, and patient intake procedures.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, insurance billing codes, and CMS guidelines.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training sessions and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in medical office software, electronic health records (EHR), and insurance verification systems.
  • Patient-focused and approachable, with a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
