What Youll Get to Do: Program/System Level role, part of Requirements team within Directorate of Engineering. The Thread Lead will perform all aspects of requirements management for a single system-level use case that crosses multiple system segments, on an extremely complex system that incorporates mature and emerging technologies. This position will serve on-site at our Redondo Beach, CA location. This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers requirements./ppBasic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Software Design Support Engineer/pulliBachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience with Bachelors degree, 6 years of experience with Masters degree, 4 years of experience with PhD/liliDemonstrated experience defining and managing requirements of large-scale systems, including decomposition and allocation to various system segments/liliRequirements development from conceptualization to verification/liliDemonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDR/liliSkilled in use case development through structured, iterative approaches/liliExperience producing systems engineering artifacts for major system reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR)/liliCurrent Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w. Polygraph prior to start/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications for Sr. Principal Software Design Support Engineer/pulliUse of requirements management tools, such as DOORS or Cameo/liliDemonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE), specifically using MBSE to drive use case development through behavioral diagrams/liliUnderstanding of DoD systems engineering requirements/liliExperience leading teams/liliDemonstrated experience managing a large database of requirements across systems, subsystems, and lower-level components/liliMulti-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally/liliFamiliarity with Project Task Management tools: Jira or Confluence/li/ulpPrimary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
