Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionHousekeeping AideJohns Creek, GA •Vineyard - Johns CreekDescriptionReports to: Environmental Services Director Supervises: N/ADepartment: Housekeeping Services/ Environmental Services FLSA Status: Non-ExemptPosition Summary:To keep the community in a clean and sanitary condition providing for the welfare and care of residents and guests by maintaining a healthful environment.RequirementsEssential Job Functions:•Approach all encounters with residents and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner•Monitor residents' well-being in a general way•Report any changes in the condition of a resident to the supervisor immediately•Assist residents with requests as needed or find an appropriate employee to assist•Look for opportunities to exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction•Clean assigned rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas of the community thoroughly and efficiently•Carry linens, towels, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts and/or hand-held carriers•Dust and polish furniture and equipment•Clean overall kitchen area•Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas•Replenish bathroom supplies as necessary•Change bed linens•Dust window blinds, ceilings, and corners•Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary•Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop apartment floors•Spot clean carpets when necessary•Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, and iron and/or fold dried items (depending upon the community)•Use supplies and cleaning agents properly•Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean and tidy•Report any maintenance repairs to the supervisor•Report any missing, damaged, or found items to the supervisor•Display the ability to comfortably work near and around residents' pets (dogs, cats, birds, etc.)•Support open and honest communication with and between all employees•Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working•Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies daily•Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately•Support continuous improvement•Comply with Valeo Senior standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations•Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or requiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:•Action Oriented - Enjoying working hard and having energy for the job; seize opportunities•Approachability - Warm, pleasant, and gracious; build rapport well and put others at ease•Customer Focus - Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; act with the customer in mind•Integrity and Trust - Seen as a direct, truthful individual; keep confidences; admit mistakes•Listening - Practice attentive and active listening•Peer Relationships - Seen as a team player; cooperativeEducation/Experience/Training:High school graduate preferred. Six months to one year of housekeeping experience. Experience working in a senior environment is preferred.Working Conditions:On the job, the employee will work predominately in an environmentally controlled community living facility with most of the time being spent in resident apartments and/or common areas of the community. Due to the nature of the job, the employee may be exposed to working conditions typically found in other departmental areas such as laundry, dining services, or maintenance. The employee may work in non-air-conditioned or very warm apartments. Occasionally, the employee may tour and/or work in parts of the community that will require walking moderate distances and climbing stairs. Some exposure to noise may exist such as vacuums, washing machines, dryers, telephones, copy/fax machines, cooling fans, piped-in music, televisions, etc. Apply
