Metro Region.

Job Summary:

The Senior Underwriter works independently providing technical support and service to the Account Management team.

Essential Functions:

Gathering account and historical data and preparing monthly reporting package for assigned clients

Reviewing carrier renewals and related carrier interaction

Creating budget projections and premium equivalent rates for assigned clients

Create mid-year pre-renewal projections for fully insured clients on an as needed basis

Prepare ad hoc claims analysis as needed

Competencies & Qualifications:

Ability to develop strong relationships, both with the clients and with the CSG team

Knowledge of carrier processes and plan designs

Strong oral and written communication skills

Proficient in the use of office databases and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite)

Organization and attention to detail

Flexible, multi-task abilities

Ability to work in both a team environment and independently

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience with a health and welfare carrier or broker providing account management services and support to clients of 100 lives or more
