Maintenance Mechanic Technician As a Maintenance Mechanic Technician, you will support the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Coordinator, and Maintenance Lead in the execution, planning, and scheduling of work orders to maintain the facility and production equipment. Support in the maintenance departments goal of a safe and hazard-free work environment. You will be responsible for the following: * We provide a work environment committed to safety * We have a corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability, and excellence * Comprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunities * We offer stable work hours and pay * WestRock offers a variety of benefits and group health insurance options, the premium costs of which are currently shared by employees and WestRock (health, dental, vision, disability, flexible spending account, HSA, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance program, pension, matching 401K, referral bonus) * This position performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment * Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment on a scheduled basis; Inspects belts, gearboxes, chains, bearings, etc. * Performs repairs on all related equipment with minimal supervision * Testing of analog devices, scaling, and calibrations required regularly * Troubleshooting of low voltage circuits, analog devices, VFD's, and motor control circuitry to obtain a root cause of failures * Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, and devices to determine faults, and failures * Regular repair and maintenance required in non-production areas including the warehouse, design lab, building, and grounds * Uses CMMS system for work order implementation, recordkeeping of daily activities, and planned projects * Must be able to work a 2nd or 3rd shift, overtime, and weekends as needed * Ability to work safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and comply with all safety regulations * Experience with PLC's processors, and ladder logic - primarily Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Omron * Familiar with NFPA 70E standards and be capable of applying these standards in the work situation * Boiler/Steam knowledge, and/or certification is a plus * Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shifts; required to work daily overtime and weekends, as needed * Consistent and regular attendance is required * High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school preferred The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The salary range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
