Network Technician located in Oconomowoc, WI

What you'll do:
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot to improve network optimization
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, SD-WAN, Wireless AP & Controllers, and Firewalls
  • Interface with vendors, including Verizon, ATT, Spectrum, etc.
  • IP address auditing
  • Switch port configurational support, including segmented LAN (VLAN) & Voice
  • Coordination of cable installation
  • Weekly 24-hour on-call rotation
  • May assist with administering video conferencing systems and presentation tools
  • Works with the various IT teams and plant staff to define and implement departmental projects
  • Defines, documents, and enforces system standards
  • Travel to provide support
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

What you need to have:
  • BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field experience is required.
  • Familiarity and exposure to Cisco Switches, static/dynamic routing, and wireless is a must.
  • Work independently or collectively with a team.
  • Establish a positive working relationship with internal and external customers, hourly production employees, and the entire IT staff.
  • Use good troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Have good communication skills for presentations to upper management.
  • Work with multiple vendors as well as upper management.
  • Network + certification or the ability to obtain one within a year of employment. Any IT-related certifications are beneficial.
  • Travel is estimated at 25% - 40%
