Position SummarySupport the enhancement and further development of an Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS). This single platform that features an all-weather fighting goggle and a mixed reality heads-up display that integrates next-generation situational awareness tools and high-resolution simulations to provide mobility and functionality during the day or at night.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnalyzing and interpreting data, including developing system simulations, and implementing automated analysis algorithmsCollaborating with teams of engineers and scientists to progress prototypes to productsGenerating reports, test plans, presentations, and other deliverable documentation.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSelf - motivatedDetail-orientedEffective in a laboratory environmentAble to work in a team environmentMust possess a results-oriented approachAn interest in multiple technical areasFull understanding of the lens assembly processA solid understanding of the optics supply chainSolid analytical abilityEducation & ExperiencePh.D. degree in a relevant field; or Masters in related with 3 years or Bachelors in related with 5+ years of related experienceU.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance required.Experience with optical device testingExperience associated with imaging sensors, image processing, and signal/data processing applications is preferredExperience with Unix/Linux operating system
