Tool & Die Machinist

summary Employbridge/RMFG is hiring Tool & Die Machinists for a rapidly growing manufacturing facility in Albuquerque. We are looking for minimum 7 years of Tool & Die maker experience preferably with injection molding skills. Monday - Friday, 7:15am -3:45pm Hourly rate $25-$29 depending on experience Weekly Pay Benefits available Tool & Die Machinist Duties: Analyze a variety of specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools. Assist in maintaining production by repairing molds and tooling while keeping tight tolerances. Analyze a variety of specifications. Set up and operate machine tools (lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press, saws). Program HAAS CNC laths and mills. Heat treat steels using shop furnace and understanding how to machine hardened steel. Cleans and examines tooling for defects Fabricate tooling from engineering drawings Use a variety of hand tools and fixtures Responsible for following all company policies/regulations Performs quality checks, interprets and reacts to projects in a timely manner Performs duties as assigned by supervisor or team lead Verifies dimensions, alignments and clearances, using measuring instruments such as: dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, and micrometers required-skills: Requires: High School Diploma or GED A minimum of 5 - 10 years Tool & Die Maker experience Knowledge of tool design, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, machinery, and assembly procedures. Capable of operating open setup mill, lathe and surface grinders Proficient in programming CNC lathe and CNC mill Repairing molds and tooling while keeping tight tolerances +/-.001" Understands how to read engineering drawings Set up and use TIG welder with a high degree of skill Associatesrequired-experience: 7 yrs Machinist
