The Job

The product photographer works with a team of editors and a senior photographer. Ensuring that all consumer-facing product photography is precise, accurate, and authentic. The role of the Product Photographer is to leverage knowledge & best practices to deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality product photography, working mainly with apparel. To accomplish these roles, you will need to demonstrate high proficiency in industry-standard product photography skills with a very keen eye for small details, have a good aptitude for conceptual understanding when communicating with team leaders, be familiar with the Skateboarding, Snowboarding, and Lifestyle products that Tactics sells, and bring new ideas to the table to improve the process, output, and business results.
  • Picking products from the warehouse and preparing them for photography may include preparing articles for photos, steaming clothing, and lacing shoes.
  • Uses professional expertise and skill to capture professional, high-quality photos that represent Tactics standards and brand.
  • Working with the studio manager on photography standards and helping maintain consistency.
  • Following up on how products look on the front end of the website after they have gone live.
  • Able to work at a fast and efficient pace when shooting high-quality images.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to give instructions and directions to staff.
  • Able to work independently as well as effectively collaborate and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly resourceful and applies sound analytical reasoning to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
  • Proactive critical thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, anticipate the next steps, and offer recommendations and solutions.

Requirements

What You Will Bring
  • Strong photography background with demonstrable portfolio and references.
  • Previous experience in a photo studio environment is required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • An associate or Bachelor's degree in photography or a closely related field is highly preferred.

Hourly Range DOE: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
