The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.As aClerk 1 Warehousing, you’ll handle receiving, issuing, shipping, and maintaining inventory for both inbound and outbound shipments. You’ll keep records of all goods, prepare shipments, and manage received items, all while following company and departmental SOPs.What You’ll Work On: Assist in stock sweeps, perform physical cycle counts, and support month-end financial close.Responsible for material movement in thewarehouseas well asdrivinginternal transfer of materials through accurate and timely completion of activities.Responsible for the transfer of materials to/from thewarehousecomplex to/from Abbott Park locations.Track and follow receiving incidences, shipping or internal movement of actual goods/materials. Process return material authorizations (RMA).Investigate job variances and negativeinventory.Minimizessupply chainscrap and processes material destructionorders(MDO).Maintain inputs for department metrics and use the material management system proficiently.Prepare, complete, and maintain appropriate documents. Research historical data within the warehouse management system and share for business purposes.Generate reports as required or requested. Safely handle dangerous goods and perform other assigned duties.Follow all EHS rules and procedures a report incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly. Attend required training and programs, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Suggest improvements to the EHS program. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma / GED, equivalency degree or equivalent and relevant work experience.Minimum of 4 years ofmaterial handling,inventory, and or materialcoordination.Preferred QualificationsClass B CDL licensepreferred.Forklift experience and certificationare preferred.Aptitudeto meet core job responsibilities; training typically completed on-the-job.Familiarity with computersand other electronic office and business equipment.Ability to perform tasks in compliancewith departmental SOPs, FDA, ISO9000, and other regulatory requirements.Understanding of product structures, processing requirements, and basic accounting.Effective interaction with all levels of employees, displaying socially and professionally appropriate behavior.Trainingwill be conducted in accordance with the approved Training Plan and working conditions.Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
