Blackwell is currently seeking a Custodian to work out of the Fairfax, VA area. The position is located at Joint Base Andrews.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-8:00pm Job Description: Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include tending furnace and boiler, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.Duties and Responsibilities:ENTRANCE COMMON AREAS/ VISITOR CONTROL/OFFICE AREASTrash or other refuse removed and liners replacedVacuum of all carpets and matsMop/Swept all hard floorsDust all horizontal surfaces of desks, chairs, tables and other furnitureDrinking fountain cleaningRemove fingerprints and marks from around light switches and door frames]VCT/Hard Flooring polishSpot clean all glassSpot clean walls and painted surfaceSpot clean all return air grills in corridor, office and restroom areasEnsure all areas are clean & arranged in a tidy fashion prior to leavingTOILET & BATHROOM AREASEmpty trash bins and wipe if needed and replace bin liners as requiredClean and polish mirrorsWipe hand towel cabinet coversWipe down door sills - remove all dustToilets and urinals to be cleaned and disinfected on both sides and disinfected/sanitized and wiped dryClean and sanitize all basins. Polish all bright work to basinsDust partitions, tops of mirrors and framesRemove splash marks from walls around basinMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma Less than a High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Must possess a current Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)Blackwell is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
