EMCOR is the world's leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction and facilities services, including planning, consulting, and operations and maintenance.DeBra-Kuempel combines the expertise of two of the tri-state's oldest and most innovative companies, providing mechanical and electrical services to Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Evansville, Lexington, Louisville, and the surrounding areas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAttend project turnover meetings with the sales and project team.Design building automation systems and create project submittals/shop drawings using project plans and specifications.Identify any gaps or ambiguity in the project and submit RFIs as required.Establish/maintain unique customer standards while working on design/build and plan/spec projects alikeDevelop project bill of materials and provide equipment logistics/supportMentor new employees and assist in their growthSelect and order controllers and devices for projects.Write control sequences and coordinate design intent with programmer.Provide operational and technical support/direction to field operations and subcontractorsObtain field markups and revise the shop drawings with any changes for owner records.Maintain backups of all project documentation including record drawings on Procore.Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers.Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Engineering Manager / Project Manager with recommendation for resolution.Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed.PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociate's degree in related engineering/technology field required, bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.In lieu of engineering/technical degree, a combination of verifiable DDC specific training and two or more years of experience will be considered.DDC or PLC design experience preferred.Strong understanding of low voltage electrical wiring.Experience in engineering, design, or maintenance of HVAC systemsStrong understanding of the fundamentals of commercial electrical, HVAC, and control theory.Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation.REQUIRED ATTRIBUTESThe requirements listed below are representative of characteristics and demonstrated capabilities sought to perform this job successfully.Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism, and commitment to company values.Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail.Must build positive working relationships with peers, management, suppliers, and customers.Notice to prospective employees: There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings for EMCOR Group and its companies.
