What does a day in life look like?

Mission: Achieve shipping plan and production service through the proper use of side loaders and crew.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively improve safety in the plant to achieve the plant goal of 0 accidents.
  • Facilitate and develop topics for communication at daily safety and area meetings.
  • Champion timely resolution of all safety concerns and/or near misses
  • Enforce area and plant safety procedures.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Logistic Technicians.
  • Ensure shipping plan compliance, material, and paperwork.
  • Manage the day-to-day lot activities for the side loader operators to ensure zero production disruptions and zero shipping errors.
  • Ensure all side loaders have the correct preventive or corrective maintenance.
  • Monitor standardized work is being followed.
  • Identify training opportunities to develop and maintain a highly motivated and capable team.
  • Lead efforts to reduce cost and improve efficiency to meet planned/plant objectives.
  • Conduct training for teammates.
  • Gather information and audit daily reports.
  • Additional responsibilities as required - this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.
What you will bring:

Education & Experience:
  • High School degree/diploma.
  • 2 years or more in leadership positions.
  • A combination of education and manufacturing-logistic experience.
  • PIV management.
Technical Skills:
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Communication, analytical, problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
  • Safety and Quality oriented.
  • Capacity to manage resources and activities to obtain results.
  • Must be willing to work overtime with little or no notice.
