LOCATION:Texas Health Plano is located at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

SCHEDULE: Full-time; 2030-0700 Monday through Thursday for 40 Hours; 4-10 hour shifts

Surgery Department highlights

HERE's WHAT YOU NEED:

EDUCATION:

•Diploma of Nursing OR associate degree in nursing required.

•BSN preferred.

•CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required

EXPERIENCE:

•One Year experience as a clinical nurse

•Surgery experience preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

•RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

•BCLS-Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon-prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

•ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support-within 90 days of hire required.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED DO:

•Complete regular assessments and maintenance of comfort

•Have knowledge of basic physiology and pathophysiology

•Have knowledge of pain and suffering, pain interventions and pain comfort/theories.

•Use barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations

•Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record

•Complete assessments accurately and in a timely manner

•Individualize care plans specific to the needs of the patient

•Perform other duties as assigned
