Purpose:

The Hydrocarbon Management (HM) Inventory Financial Analyst's objectives are to provide hydrocarbon accounting assurance and financial support to the Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex, to ensure the integrity and accuracy of tank inventory, mass balance data, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Focal point for daily Tank Inventory System (TIS) interface to Oil Accounting System (OAS) stock ledger Ensures end-of-month reconciliation of TIS inventory with OAS inventory to ensure all data from source system is transferred to the destination system Performs month-end inventory closing adjustments, including crude, pet coke, tanks, caverns, sulfur pits, and custody transfers in stock Maintains tank strapping tables as defined in the MNT-POL-0025 Tank Strapping Table Maintenance Policy to include performing annual tank strapping table validation and ensuring updates are made in TIS Update and maintain Product Master codes in TIS/OMM and coordinates same updates in OAS Support the hydrocarbon accounting and performance team with other ad-hoc responsibilities Support greater Finance team and community via active participation in Finance initiatives to include continuous improvement of work processes Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration, and 1-3 years of work experience; or Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration, and 3-5 years of work experience at a refinery, chemical complex, and/or terminals Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Attention to detail Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication skills Strong analytical skills, or demonstrated curiosity Ability to engage stakeholders to build strong working relationships Knowledge of Refinery, chemical complexes and/or terminals a plus We reserve the right to amend or withdraw Motiva jobs at any time, including prior to the closing date.
