The Metal Ware Corporation is a privately owned company located in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Metal Ware has been manufacturing consumer products for over 100 years. You may know us best through our brands such as NESCO, Chard, and Grizzly. We make many of our products here in our Two Rivers plant using injection molding, metal stamping, and rotational molding equipment. The Metal Ware Corporation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to oversee our manufacturing operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and lean principles. This position will lead our production teams, implement strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure operational excellence and meet the demands of our customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing processes, extensive leadership experience, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of manufacturing operations including production planning, engineering, scheduling, resource allocation, shipping/receiving and quality control.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, sales, product development and logistics to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of goals.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor performance, track progress, and drive accountability.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and efficiency improvements to maximize profitability.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement by providing leadership, training, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to support operational objectives and business growth.
  • Implement strategies to manage the timely delivery of products that will exceed customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Industrial Management, Engineering, or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of diversified management experience within the plastics molding or metal stamping industry with proven success in leading a facility
  • Knowledge of facility operations supply chain management planning techniques.
  • Knowledge of budgeting methods and systems.
  • Knowledge of leadership, managerial, and supervisory techniques and principles.
  • Skill in performing detailed work in an accurate and organized manner.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail, Word and Internet Explorer.
  • Ability to communicate well with employees at all levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent knowledge of managing full facility P&L
  • Continuous improvement / Lean skills preferred
