At Dawood Engineering, Inc., we provide multi-disciplined consulting services for a wide range of industries encompassing Transportation, Energy & Land Planning/Site Development.

Our engineers and professionals provide Highway Design and Traffic Engineering, Bridge and Structural Engineering, Civil Design, Surveying and Mapping, Pipeline and Associated Facility Design, Geotechnical/Geophysical, Environmental Studies and Water/Wastewater design.

We are currently seeking a

Project Engineer (Geotechnical)

to join our team in either our

King of Prussia, Harrisburg, or Canonsburg

office locations. As a Geotechnical Project Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects preforming geotechnical design and analysis. This position will also require occasional field work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents relevant to a given property's soil profile Data reduction and organization to provide recommendations for foundation design Preform design work of deep and shallow foundations Conduct slope stability analysis and assist in report preparation and assembly On-site observation of excavation techniques and soil sampling Co-design geotechnical engineering projects Coordinate and execute various projects with geotechnical staff Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives Perform other related duties, as required Requirements

Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geology, or related field 2-5 years of relevant experience EIT Certification, PE Certification preferred Project experience with bridges, roadways, retaining walls, slopes, and embankments, buildings, and various methods of ground improvements Proficiency using including Microsoft Suite, gINT, geotechnical analysis software (Slide, LPILE, GRLWEAP) experience is a plus. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills, including verbal, social, and writing; the ability to interface with a diverse range of colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders Must be willing to travel to work sites
