Project Manager

Overview Project Manager role at Hoffman Construction Company. The Project Manager will work within the Operations Department and report to the Project Director. This role oversees all phases of construction, including preconstruction planning, procurement, scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, subcontractor coordination, and turnover. The Project Manager serves as the primary interface between Hoffman, the client, design consultants, and trade partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards. The position is located on project site near Queen Creek, AZ with in-office and on-site activities. Responsibilities Lead all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout. Drive overall project performance to achieve scope, schedule, and budget targets. Coordinate with client representatives, design consultants, and trade partners; assist with development of project estimates. Oversee subcontractor buyout, contract execution, and performance tracking. Manage subcontractor contracts and contract modifications. Oversee billing and schedule of values; generate monthly client billings. Engage in business development: evaluate potential projects and clients; interact with developers, owners, architects, subconsultants, and subcontractors. Promote a transparent, solution-oriented environment through proactive communication and issue resolution. Qualifications Position Related Skills Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams); understands basic network concepts. Experience with PM software (Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, MS Project, Primavera P6). Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks). Training in design/construction document reading, design specs, survey theory. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage technical data; familiar with CSI specs. Experience in field and personnel management; strong visual observation and interpretation. Ability to work under pressure with a cooperative attitude; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build strong relationships. Strong teamwork across departments and leadership levels; flexible schedule to accommodate construction needs. Professional Experience and Education High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in mechanical/civil/electrical engineering, construction management, or equivalent field experience. Education in materials and methods of construction. Minimum of three (3) years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor. Proven success managing large-scale construction projects; strong knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning, and QC; LEED accreditation or potential to become certified within 18-24 months preferred. Physical and Mental Requirements Standing/Walking/Sitting: combination of stationary and mobility required. Climb stairs; work in ladders, scaffolds, and confined spaces. Manual dexterity to operate computer and office equipment; ability to handle materials. Vision and hearing requirements suitable for outdoor work and site communication; valid drivers license required; interact with customers and coworkers on-site and in office. Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl as needed. Independent judgment, organization, and problem-solving skills.
