We are situated in a high-traffic plaza directly accessible by a major throughway and surrounded by retail, restaurants, medical offices, a hospital, etc. – all contributing to make this a destination location for our patients and the community at large. About the Optometrist Position The optometrist will conduct eye exams and strive to practice to the full capacity of their license. As a member on our team, putting patients first is essential to providing the best experience we can We are seeking an associate optometrist who will support practice growth and help foster our positive clinic culture by both exceeding the refractive needs of our community as well as providing full medical-model optometry services (diagnose ocular pathologies; myopia management; specialty contact lenses; dry eye management; any and all suspects; etc.) Currently we are looking for a Part-time position, but there is potential flexibility for the right candidate. The clinic comes supplied with digital auto phoropters and charts, auto-refractor, digital retinal camera, OCT, visual field, and all other equipment to give a comprehensive eye exam, as well as wonderful professional staff who schedule and check-in patients, perform pretests, verify insurance benefits, stock the contact lens trials, and more. Candidacy Expectations: Our ideal candidate will combine an entrepreneurial and collaborative professional mind with a positive and altruistic personality. As an optometrist in our practice, you will be expected to: Conduct excellent eye exam experience and communicate eye health, eyewear, and prescription advice to patients Establish long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education Perform verbal interview with patient prior to exam to determine health & ocular history, medical issues, reasons for their visit as well their visual wants and needs Instruct, recommend & advise patients as to their options for remediation of ametropias, systemic and ocular disease Perform vision tests and analyze results Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications Recommend or provide treatments such as myopia management, specialty contact lenses, dry eye management, etc. Provide pre/post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery Proficiency in medical record keeping and familiarity with HIPAA regulations We reward our doctors well and will provide a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, as well as benefits including: Productivity Bonus Malpractice Insurance Room for Growth & Development Employee / Family Discounts Eyewear Discounts Required Skills and Experiences Doctor of Optometry (O.D.)
