As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Banking under LATAM Payments Technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectAbility to translate effectively between business/Product Owner and AGILE development teamDevelop JPMC domain knowledge of the DDA application specializing in key functional areasContribute to the end to end architectural design and functional requirements, in collaboration with Product partners.Conduct peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.As an SME on the T24 application, mentor others and raise the capability of the team on functional design and development.High degree of organizational skills including the use of Confluence and JIRA for managing documentation.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityIn-depth knowledge of the Temenos T24 Banking Application, focusing on; Interest, Tax, Swift Payments, Accounting, Reporting, Sweeps and Close of Business processing.Strong knowledge of modern programming languages such as; SQL programming, Java, API developmentExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Strong experience of end to end application design and developmentIn-depth knowledge of T24 Code Deployment, Packaging, UAT Support, Non-Functional Testing principalsStrong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX, Oracle Database, Temenos Web Services (TWS), TAFC and TCserverExperience of automated testing, deployment into production and SDLC toolsetsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplinesUnderstanding of agile development methodologies and ability to execute Agile/Scrum concepts and principles
