Clinical Nutritionist I - Inpatient

Position Summary

Successful candidate will support the clinical nutrition team at Hospital for Special Surgery by providing comprehensive nutrition care to our patients including but not limited to adult/pediatric nutrition assessment and re-assessment, malnutrition identification and management, nutrition support administration, nutrition education, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nutrition care to inpatients according to medical condition and nutrition needs
  • Develop treatment plan to promote wound healing after surgery and maintenance
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and communications
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling

Skills/Attributes required

  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent customer service and ability to communicate with all team members to resolve problems
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and efficiently
  • Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle heavy workload with good time management skills and efficiency
  • Experience with Epic and CBORD (Foodservice Suite) preferred
Qualifications:

Required Credentials

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD)
  • Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) in NYS
  • Masters degree preferred

Pay Range - Minimum:
USD $42.00/Hr.

USD $42.00/Hr.
