POSITION OVERVIEW:
This is a very special role at the intersection of consumer electronics, customer success management, research science, and security consulting. While we welcome expertise in the security field, it is not required, and this is a great opportunity for the right person with broad interests and a unique background to use those talents and life experience to contribute to some of the most exciting developments in consumer technology.
This role will liaise with business units in highly confidential research areas concerning research and development with a focus on cutting-edge science and technology development leaders, acting as their security consultant, assessing risk and providing mitigations to enable lab research, partnerships, user research, data collection, and more from a security perspective.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Responsible for leading Global Security, InfoSec, Data Protection, and Cybersecurity partnerships and maintaining ongoing engagements with the teams to build quality solutions supporting the business.
Provide quick response to security issues reported by the business, identifying solutions/mitigations and partnering with XFN (e.g., InfoSec, Security Partners, Data Protection, Legal, Comms, and Global Product Security)
Build scalable processes to support the companys projects/products by partnering with XFN and Global Product Security.
Lead and support infosec-related activities in the 3rd party space: Vendors, Manufacturing, Logistics, etc.
Support Global Product Security verticals, identifying process and tool solutions to streamline tasks and processes.
Enforce/Influence Security Controls in the Development Environment (HW & SW)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Fundamental knowledge of computing, IT infrastructure, software development, and databases.
Understanding of governance, compliance, and operational security.
Knowledge of security threat and vulnerability management processes.
Knowledge of application-based access control mechanisms and identity management systems.
Device security processes and controls to apply concepts of confidentiality.
Experience and knowledge of security engineering scopes and software/product development lifecycles
Knowledge of network security policies, processes, and practices.
Understanding of legal and regulatory issues that pertain to global IP protection and Information security.
Knowledge of relevant information security frameworks and standards (ISO, CIS, NIST).
Ability to communicate clearly with non-security customers to provide adequate service.
Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical XFN teams and customers.
Experience and knowledge of CTPAT, AEO, TAPA, and other industry and/or government security programs.
Ability to work in ambiguous situations with little direction, documenting and providing a solid point of view regarding solutions.
Experience with working in a global team environment and amongst various business cultures.
Ability to internally network, research, and connect XFN initiatives and teams with Global Product Security.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & SKILLS:
Preferably have or are working towards one or more of the following industry certifications: NSA Approved institutions Certificate, CompTIA Certifications, Certified Information Systems Security Professional Certificate.
4 years of relevant experience or B.A. preferred with 5 years of relevant experience.
