Job Title: Revenue ProcessorPosition Type: Full-timeJob Summary: The City of Tulsa is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Processor to join their team. Under general supervision, the Revenue Processor is responsible for processing revenue payments, handling basic accounting tasks, and providing customer support. This role requires someone with strong cash-handling skills, an understanding of bookkeeping practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with the public.Key Responsibilities: Process revenue payments, collect various forms of tender, and issue receipts. Audit and balance register accounts, and prepare bank deposit slips. Research and resolve discrepancies in register and daily account balances. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and disputes in a professional manner. Tabulate and report received funds information. Assist with revenue system balancing and reconciliation. Provide training to new employees. Explain departmental policies to the public. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of general office experience, with at least 1 year of cash-handling experience or closely related work. Strong knowledge of clerical duties, cash handling, basic bookkeeping, billing procedures, and relevant municipal fees and regulations.Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in operating cash registers, calculators, and computer systems. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Strong math skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts positively. Ability to establish effective working relationships with coworkers and other departments.Physical Requirements: Ability to use a keyboard and telephone with steady hand and finger dexterity. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Occasional pushing and pulling up to 10 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, balance, bend, kneel, and twist.
