The Program Coordinator provides technical, professional and programmatic guidance, consultation, and support in accordance with the Georgia Department of Community Health. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversees the program in its entiretyReviews all required documentation for the yearly on-site and/or desktop reviewAssist instructors in resolving any student issuesCompiles material presented for the approval and/or re-approval for the programEnsure proper instruction is taking place and documenting progress for all students and classesAssist with recruitment and selection process of students for each class Develop, secure, and maintain the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material Encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience in the classroom Develop and execute appropriate methods of evaluating students performance according to requirements of Helms Career Education and Georgia Department of Community Health policies and proceduresCoordinate clinicals, times and testing preparation Coordinate other instructors schedules (if applicable) and classes Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational processKeep Program Manager informed of any curriculum or student code of conduct issuesBe familiar with all emergency procedures posted in the classroomQualificationsRegistered Nurse (RN) with two (2) years of nursing experienceOne (1) year of nursing experience as an RN must be in a long-term care facilityMust have experience in teaching adults and/or supervising nurse aidesAble to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlinesExcellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and some weekend assignments
