Job Description

Principal Embedded Software Engineer / Technical Lead required by a successful and exciting high-tech company located in Southampton. Due to an ever increasing workload the company is looking to a Principal Embedded Software Engineer as the Technical Lead / Software Architect for their existing, highly skilled embedded software engineering team.

Hybrid working - two days per week in the office.

The successful Principal Software Engineer / Technical Lead is likely to have a relevant degree in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or similar subject and a technical background in embedded software engineering (C on bare metal). The Principal Software Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of new and existing products.

Key experience

Embedded software development - C on bare metal embedded

Software architecture and design

Technical leadership

Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous, but is not essential;

Continuous integration / continuous deployment

Linux

TDD or BDD

Lower power systems

Python
