Summary:

The new vehicle sales manager leads, trains and supervises members of the sales team to achieve measurable performance goals and customer satisfaction, and is responsible for the acquisition/condition and display of new vehicle inventory.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead, hire and train sales team. Sell and manage new vehicle inventory. Meet or exceed monthly sales and inventory management goals.

Sales manager is expected to:

* Assist sales team to help close deals

* Desk new and used car deals

* Structure and submit car deals to lending institution for approval.

* Establish measurable performance goals using gross and net profits, unit sales, etc. for monthly, quarterly and annual targets.

* Inspire and motivate team to attain sales goals.

* Meet or exceed manufacture set Customer Satisfaction rating expectations

* Evaluate each team members performance and productivity with daily DIT sheet.

* Use merchandising and displays to promote sales of new vehicles.

* Develop sales campaigns, and monitor factory-sponsored programs

* Review budgets, market and sales projections.

* Register New vehicle sales to the factory

* Maintain and monitor lease end list for sales opportunities

* Attend manager and sales meetings.

* Manage dealer trades as required

* Assist Used Vehicle Manager as needed

* Appraise vehicles in a timely, professional and accurate manner

* Ensure the showroom is full and fully merchandised with new vehicles

* Ensure new car pictures for website are kept up to date

* Update pricing to 3rd party vendors as needed

* Ensure Sales Associates daily work planners are up to date and checked out at the end of each shift

* Ensure each customer is immediately checked out after leaving the store and updating E-Lead with accurate event information

* Check New car bulletins and communicate to staff as needed

* Produce and publish monthly New car specials for website

* Quickly respond to internet leads within 5 minutes

* Quickly answer sales calls

* Order New Vehicle inventory every month as required by Honda

* Coordinate activities between sales and other departments

* Fill in as needed for Finance Manager Duties

In addition, sales manager should:

Possess basic math skills.

Be capable of speaking with customers or employees; reading/understanding manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety regulations; and writing financial/marketing reports and other correspondence.

Be professional and courteous in attitude, wardrobe and grooming.

Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

* 3 years plus work history with the same company

* Work history experience that matches required job skills for this position
