As a Buyer in Defense Naval, you will provide outstanding service to internal stakeholders by validating and satisfying requirements efficiently and effectively, as well as interface with internal supplier management teams and external suppliers.

Key Accountabilities:

" Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, working across all areas of the business and regions

" Prioritize, plan and manage daily workflow, purchasing tasks, status and reporting

" Perform standard purchasing transactional and administrative tasks

" Ensure supplier selection and sourcing recommendations are in accordance with agreed commodity strategies and commercial frameworks

" Operating and complying with all purchasing processes, procedures and systems

" Identifying and recommending workflow process efficiency improvements

Basic Requirements:

" Associate degree and 3+ years of experience in customer service, purchasing, logistics or supply chain, OR

" Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in customer service, purchasing, logistics or supply chain, OR

" Master's degree, OR

" JD/PhD, OR

" 5+ years of experience in customer service, purchasing, logistics or supply chain in lieu of a degree

" In order to be considered for this position, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

" Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite

" Familiarity with purchasing and supply chain management in a US Defense manufacturing environment
