Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-stack Developer who will work as part of an agile team responsible for the full software life cycle, from concept to deployment to maintenance for a multitude of corporate enterprise tools serving 100K+ users. This position requires on-site presence at least one day per week. Must live within commutable distance to Dahlgren, VA. Positions allows for some telecommuting, but work on or near NSWCDD is required on a regular basis.

Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:

Ability to obrain DoD Security Clearance (United States Citizenship)
At least eight 8 years of development experience
At least 5 years of Perl development experience
10+ years of experience managing DOD/US Navy databases
Proficiency with SQL & PL/SQL
Proficiency with Unix or Linux shell scripting
Experience refining requirements
Ability to clearly and accurately document software source code, specifications, and manuals
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate constructively and present overall results with other government and contractor personnel
Ability to thrive in a flexible and dynamic work environment
Ability and willingness to teach and mentor junior developers in areas of software design, deployment, security, and maintainability.
Performance Tuning

Responsibilities:

Interface with, consult, and provide daily direct support to government customers, corporate level stakeholders, and end users.
Work with the customer on defining and refining requirements.
Help government customers develop the vision of their product portfolio and develop evolution strategies.
Assist government customers analyze and plan computing infrastructure and development environments.
Provide analysis and guidance for government customer in areas of Information and Cyber Security system postures.
Create, maintain, and update software products with multiple technologies across multiple computing environments.
Actively support all aspects of the system development lifecycle (analysis, requirements definition, design, coding, development and unit testing, maintenance and preparing associated documentation).
Ensure the software team process stay in alignment with System Technical Implementation Guidelines.
Safeguard PII and work in a secure environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with maintenance and development of Perl based web applications.
Experience with Git, GitLab, Jira, Confluence
Comfortable working on a team and interfacing with outside entities
Willingness to adapt quickly to new requirements
Agile lean and scrum experience
Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and/or Software-in-the-loop (SWIL) testing
Experience with Information Tools, SharePoint, Perl, JAVA, PHP, business intelligence software, ASP .Net, and integrating capabilities to support analysis.

Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required. Benefits:
