Plains has an amazing opportunity for a new role that will be responsible for leading, managing and growing the Microsoft 365 portfolio of service offerings and productivity capabilities adopted by Plains. The Plains M365 Product Manager is a strategic, enterprise role at the forefront of the delivery, use adoption, and value realization of M365 services in the workplace. This role, working in partnership with delivery teams, infrastructure, operational teams, and M365 Platform Owners will guide the business of Plains in realizing the true power of our Microsoft service investment and maximizing end user experience. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with strong communication skills and will have experience in leading the adoption and delivery of Microsoft productivity solutions to large enterprises. They should bring a track record of building and leading transformational technology initiatives, with a demonstrated strategic approach in Product Management and Product Vision Road Mapping. Establishing and cultivating strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendor partners and internal IS teams (Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure/Cybersecurity, Strategy and Solution Delivery) will be key to success in this role. A strong background in managing Microsoft products and programs at an enterprise level, as well as an ability to lead a portfolio team consisting of internal staff, AMS partners and vendor partners, is essential for this strategic role. This candidate will have a passion for delivering great user experience. Role Description: As an M365 Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of Microsoft 365 product and service delivery to Plains. You will work with IS, business and vendor/partner teams to deliver innovative solutions and capabilities that meet employee needs and drive the achievement of business goals. You will also collaborate with Microsoft partners to ensure alignment and integration of M365 offerings to Plains and will be responsible for ensuring Plains is maximizing its investment in M365 services delivered to the business. User adoption and efficiencies translating into productivity gains and future savings is an ideal outcome. This role is multi-disciplinary, working with Product Owners, technical delivery teams, Business Architecture, project teams and service partners to provide strategic direction in discovering and evaluating business customer needs and objectives that M365 products or features will satisfy. Driving strong cross-team alignment in feature prioritization, unified product roadmap creation and adoption KPIs and metrics, this role will translate vision to reality. Job Responsibilities: Strategic Focus Deeply understanding the needs and wants of users through user research, interviews, and market intelligence Developing and sharing the long-term vision for M365 at Plains, as well as a product strategy (or series of strategies) for achieving this vision Develop and validate hypotheses, scenarios, and user stories for new and existing features and enhancements. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, best practices, and gaps in the M365 portfolio. Clearly articulating the current and desired future state of M365 adoption at Plains Assisting in the development of business cases to optimize ROI and efficiencies leveraging M365 Working in conjunction with the Plains Enterprise Architecture team to create and execute on a vision for Plains in the M365 adoption and user experience space Value Realization Focus Determining/recommending the most impactful features or functionality to be deployed Defining, measuring, and reporting on success criteria for new features and functionality Being the cross-functional champion for their product team(s) and roadmap(s) Defining and communicating the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition for M365 products and services at Plains Working with Business Architecture to identify and prioritize business customer problems, pain points, and opportunities through user research, data analysis, and feedback Working with IS teams to plan, execute, and deploy M365 features that meet customer expectations and business objectives – providing strategic direction to drive tactical execution Measure and evaluate the performance, usage, and impact of M365 products and services using relevant metrics and KPIs. Work closely with product/service and platform owner(s) and Enterprise Technology Ensure constant update and feedback loop with Enterprise Technology on program/project findings, challenges, learnings. Support Corporate Solution Delivery Director in annual budget cycle and monthly forecasting and variance reporting as required Business and Partner Relationship Management Focus Rallying stakeholders and teams around a product roadmap and vision Partnering with and influencing internal and external stakeholders to drive adoption Setting, championing, and executing on a long-term product vision; ultimately ensuing success for customers and the business alike Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, executives, and analysts, to solicit feedback, share insights, and drive adoption of M365 products and services Provides a broad perspective of all program and project activities within the M365 Product portfolio at Plains Initial Point-of-Contact for new demands submitted in the M365 space. Provides an escalation point for business sponsors, stakeholders, and vendors to raise issues and concerns pertaining to M365 Product adoption and features Manage and lead third party vendors, contractor workforce and outsourced technology partners to deliver product roadmap deliverables and execute on the vision Liaise with peers, Director, and Product Owners to ensure the delivery of projects are aligned with the overall strategic vision of the business area being impacted Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, business, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management – ideally Microsoft M365/O365. Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Office, Windows, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Azure Proven ability to define and deliver customer-centric products and services that solve real-world problems and create value Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and stakeholders Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and insights to drive decision making and action Passionate, curious, and creative, with a growth mindset and a desire to learn and innovate. Product Management certifications are preferred Demonstrates strong business acumen & enterprise knowledge Cultivate relationships with senior management and subordinate teams, and effectively collaborate and align with both internal IS peers and business partners. Incorporates strategic planning that aligns with company goals/objectives. Demonstrates technical knowledge & proficiency Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills Creative problem-solving ability Proven experience in leading teams and individuals to meet or exceed expectations on project delivery requirements High proficiency in project/program management techniques and methods Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
