**Forklift Operator**

General Kent, Ohio Minimum Experience **Entry-level** Compensation **$ 13-15 DOE** Position Overview

Forklift Operator is responsible for operating an automated palletizing machine & handling finished pallets of product. This position will take direction from the Shipping Supervisor as well as standard operation procedures in place. This role will require attention detail and the ability to through a tight environment with high value fragile product. Forklift Operator adheres to organizations policies as well as health and safety policies and procedures Individual is expected to be organized, willing to fill in any other positions as requested, and able to work overtime.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Carefully navigate high value product through tight

* Operate automated palletizing unit

* Follow standard operating procedures in all phases of the process

* Load outgoing trucks

* Staging outgoing product as directed by the Shipping Supervisor

* Inspect all finished pallets prior to removal from the line

* Maintain accurate production logs and records

* Constantly monitor operating equipment

* Input necessary raw materials into associated equipment for production

* Participate in sanitation program as requested

* Constantly seek ways to support other team members while striving for process improvements.

* Responsible to report food safety problems and or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actions

* Strictly follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and the SQF System Program

* Maintain and ensure safety compliance

* Identify, track, and report on department KPIs. .

* Troubleshoot issues on production floor as necessary.

* Train on all equipment within our facility

* Assist in other departments or perform other tasks when necessary

Requirements

* Five or more years of forklift experience

* Flexible schedule evening / weekend schedule may be required

* Strong sense of accountability as well as a willingness to learn
