Knauf Turkey office is based in Ankara, with 2 plants and 4 quarries serving the Turkish market and exports of our product. We are now looking for another team mate to join us in Supply Chain & Purchasing department as Supply Chain Director. Can you agree with this Job Purpose? As the Supply Chain Director at Knauf Turkey, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the entire Supply Chain function. This includes co-developing, establishing, and implementing comprehensive Supply Chain strategies and practices across all functional areas. Your role will involve effective communication and implementation of these strategies, as well as the recruitment, motivation, and retention of a skilled workforce to oversee all Supply Chain operations in Turkey. Your overarching objective is to optimize the supply chain cycle to drive business development, promote sustainability, and enhance customer satisfaction. Can you say Yes? To orchestrate and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations within Turkey, To ensure that the supply chain functioning seamlessly, efficient and cost-effective – from planning and procurement to logistics and warehousing to customer delivery, contributing to the organization's growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction in the local market, To co-develop and execute the supply chain strategy tailored to the demands and opportunities in the local market in line with the Global and Regional supply chain strategy and operating model, To allocate resources, budget and personnel to meet supply chain goals within Turkey, To ensure an efficient and reliable fulfillment of customer needs from raw material to delivery of the finished products in terms of quantity, time and quality, To create long term operating plans that support the set strategic directions and correlate with annual operating budgets and business plans, To establish standard operating procedures allied to best practice, and ensuring written protocols and guidelines are provided for it staff and all end-users, To Guide, direct and train team members to ensure an adequate organization with motivated and trained personnel capable of realizing the supply chain related business objectives. What you’ll be doing: Co-developing and implementing a localized supply chain strategy aligned with the organization's global supply chain objectives including ensuring the strategy supports the growth and competitiveness of the company in the local market, Management and further development of the whole supply chain from raw material to the finished product – from planning and procurement to logistics and warehousing to customer delivery, Leading local Demand planning, Forecasting and S&OP activities, Close collaboration with and important interface for other functions within the country as well as globally with relevant stakeholders, Analysis and evaluation of supplier and inventory data for planning, procurement, logistics and order fulfillment, Driving digitalization & sustainability projects within the country, Controlling, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement of the supply chain including optimizing supply chain costs within the country, Budget and forecast supply chain expenses accurately as well as management of the budget and making make-or-buy decisions, Ensure that costs are kept to within budgeted levels, continuously looking for additional savings to maximize bottom line contribution, Define activities & elements for the overall stock take program to meet Company expectations, & ensure that these are complied with, Monitoring and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain management including deriving and implementing actions to address performance gaps, Leading and mentoring a team of planners, procurement, logistics and warehousing as well as order fulfillment including setting clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback, Fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, Works with the GM and the management team to enable them to fulfil the board governance functions and facilitates the optimum performance. If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage: Business-oriented degree such as Economics, Industrial Engineering or any other degree relating to the supply chain and logistics fields; MBA is preferable, At least Seven years in Senior Supply Chain role, Leadership experience in supply chain management, project management and process improvement, Understanding of local market dynamics, regulations and industry trends, Proficient in supply chain software, Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, Excellent communication and negotiation skills, Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with global teams, Willingness to travel occasionally, Fluent in English, Residency/ To be able to reside in Ankara.
