The Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Practice Assistant to provide onsite administrative support for our Family Medicine team at our Riverwalk location in Lawrence, MA. The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a professional manner.
- Register patient and check insurance eligibility using the appropriate eligibility system.
- Obtain appropriate co-payment for service.
- Answer telephones promptly and courteously, using the Pentucket Medical standard 3-part greeting.
- Transfer, conference and park calls as appropriate.
- Route calls according to department protocol.
- Access, understand and accurately make appointments using the scheduling screens within the appropriate system.
- Oversee waiting area and ensure that all patients are checked in.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required.
- Previous experience in a medical office environment preferred.
- Skills:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
