MTA Safety Manager job at Safety Consulting & Compliance Corp.. Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities In addition to being able to function effectively as part of a team, a successful applicant will need to: Develop and implement site-specific Accident Prevention Program (APP), task-specific SafeWork Plan (SWP) and Tool Box Talks. Implement the Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Ensure that all Federal, State and local safety and health regulations are being implemented. Conduct daily and weekly safety meeting with the workforce and management. Lead in incident investigation and development of corrective action(s). Possess strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrate ability to use Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Display willingness to learn and participate in company-wide systems for project tracking, communication, etc. Qualifications Applicants for the position Must Have: Minimum of 5 years of prior related experience. At least one (1) year of NYC Transit experience, of which at least ninety (90) days must be ROW (right of way) work experience that includes Flagging/General Order work. NYS DOL Asbestos Inspectors License. C-3 Supervisor / Competent Person for De-leading of Industrial Structures Certificate NYCDOB 40 Hour Site Safety Manager Course Completion Certificate. 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training Course Completion Certificate.
