Housekeeper/nanny

A private family in Chappaqua, NY is seeking a Housekeeper/nanny care working from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, hours are flexible in the morning, and some mornings start at 9 am depending on if mom has to work in the city. The ideal candidate should be caring, independent, and communicative, fostering a professional and open dialogue with the family. They are both busy individuals and are not looking to micromanage but Mom works from home on some days and will check in for a few minutes now and then. They value honesty, communication, and hard work. It is important to understand that they are not looking to overwork someone or expect anything out of the ordinary, child's safety is their priority.About the Family Adults:2 Children: 3-year-old and a 5-year-olds Dogs:1, Havenese, 10 pounds and very sweet Current Staff: 2 housekeepers come twice a week to do the deep cleaning Position Responsibilities Morning Routine: Help with household tasks, cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast, making the kids beds, kids laundry Do errands for the family, pick up dry cleaning, do grocery shopping, etc..... Lunch: Pick up the son at 1:30 using the family car Prepare and serve lunch for the child. Supervise the child's nap from approximately 1 pm to 3 pm. Afternoon Activities: Perform light household chores, such as tidying up and maintaining cleanliness in common areas. They would love someone who can cook 2 - 3 times/ week for the whole family While the child is sleeping, start prepping meals, cutting up fruits, and vegetables, heat up meals for the kids once they are ready to eat. Be available to be at the door around 3:30 for the 5-year-old when she comes home, the 3-year-old will be getting up from his nap and feeding the kids for dinner, giving them their baths after dinner, and then mom and dad will be home and the day ends around 6:00 0r 6:30 The home is under construction for the next month, please understand the home is not going in order once you start. Position Requirements Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday with flexible hours in the morning Languages: English Experience: 5 Years of Experience References: Minimum of 2 References Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire Experience in childcare, particularly with toddlers Independence in handling daily childcare and housekeeping tasks. Driving: Required, they will provide a vehicle Travel: No Travel Required Position Compensation Salary: $30 - $35/hr, (DOE) Living Accommodations: Live Out Vacation: 2 weeks
