Intake Screener and Authorization Specialist

This is a hybrid position.Northeast Family Services is seeking an experienced masters-level professional to join our growing New York team as a Bilingual Intake Screener and Authorization SpecialistThe Bilingual Intake Specialist (English / Spanish) manages all aspects of the registration and admissions process for Northeast Family Services in New York. They are responsible for completing the full intake and screening process for all new clients and completing plan reviews for existing clients. Intake paperwork and required clinical documentation includes comprehensive assessments, screening assessments and initial treatment plans.To be successful in the Intake Screener and Authorization Specialist position, you should be highly organized, be detail oriented, have a working knowledge of administering various assessments screening tools and have prior experience working with children and families. Top candidates will also have excellent interpersonal skills and work well as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes program directors, clinicians, nurse practitioners, and peers.If you're looking for rewarding work, have professional experience in a behavioral health environment, and enjoy helping people obtain the support they need, don't miss this career opportunityThis is a hybrid position.Qualifications:Master's Degree in Psychology, Social work, Counseling, or directly related human services field is required for this roleNY state License (LCSW, LMHC, etc.,) or Limited Permit in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling is requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience working with children and familiesBilingual in English / Spanish is requiredExperience reviewing comprehensive assessments and treatment plansWorking knowledge of insurance benefits and authorizationsStrong computer literacy, including MS Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR)Experience working with and helping clients/families with complex behavioral health needsAbility to keep client and company confidencesExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stressStrong time management and organizational skillsHours: Fee for Service - $60 - $75 per hour#J-18808-Ljbffr
