Corporate Director of Materials Management

General Summary:
This position provides leadership in the organization and is primarily engaged in materials management activities that establish the direction of Supply Planning, Inventory, and Data activities to meet company objectives and customer requirements. Supports the utilization of asset management plans and strategies that optimize business objectives. Leads ongoing supply chain management process improvement activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Oversee the execution of Supply Chain planning activities including development and execution of long-term production plans to maximize throughput and capacity utilization.
•Manage the corporate Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring that the strategic, operational, and financial targets of the company are supported appropriately.
•Direct the materials management and supply planning functions by providing a disciplined process of training and work instruction with the Corporate Materials Management team.
•Responsible for the training and execution of Planning practices across the manufacturing network
•Ensure compliance with operating procedures as defined in position work instructions.
•Ensure Customer delivery goals are met.
•Responsible for Inventory Management according to policy across the Manufacturing network.
•Manage the performance dashboard that includes the KPls necessary to clearly identify functional performance and opportunities for improvement.
•Responsible for the maintenance of all supply planning and inventory management parameters within the corporate supply chain applications.
•Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders, functional peers, suppliers and customers.
•Provide Logistical support to the manufacturing network.
•Leverage the manufacturing network to control manufacturing costs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
•Bachelor's degree in business or a related degree. MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading complex supply chain activities.
•APICS/CPIM/CSCP or similar certification required.
•Proven ability and experience building, leading and developing a high-performing, highly engaged team.
•Strong data management capability. Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
•Excellent interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
•Strong consultative and presentation skills
•Excellent time management and organization skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize based on business demands coupled with a strong sense of urgency.
•Microsoft Office proficient.
•Experience with one of the more sophisticated ERP systems, implementation experience very desirable.
