CDR is a civil engineering and land development management company located in Costa Mesa, California. Established in 2007, CDR offers a wide range of services including civil engineering, dry utilities, and landscape architecture. We serve both corporate developers and individual landowners, providing client-focused and results-driven solutions. With a growing base of repeat clients, CDR is recognized as a trusted development partner in Southern California, with projects expanding across the United States.

Role Description

This is a full-time in-office role for a Project Manager Civil Engineer. As a Project Manager Civil Engineer at CDR, you will be responsible for leading a team through planning, design and other tasks pertaining to the project. You will work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Positive attitude and strong willingness to continually learn and grow
  • Committed to teamwork and project deadlines
  • Lead a team of designers using ACAD and Civil 3D creating land development construction drawings.
  • Fully understanding and being responsible for entitlement approvals and obtaining grading permit, encroachment permits, and
  • Manage projects (ie: High Density Residential, Shopping Centers, Auto Dealerships, Gas Stations, Amusement Parks and QSR developments) production of civil engineering plans for QA/QC and responsible for project budgets.
  • Establish and oversee design criteria while following general design standards.
  • Lead a team of associate and design engineers with and efficient and effective problem-solving management style.
  • Establish project parameters that ensure prompt and quality plans that are delivered onetime.
  • Work directly with Principal to produce accurate and competitive proposals and business development.
  • Adherence to CDR standard and core values

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • 6+ years in Land Development
  • Client, Project, and Team Management Skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Budget and Financial Planning
  • Proficiency in AutoCad
  • EIT and Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
