Industrial Engineering Intern

Posted Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 5:00 AM Sauder internship programs are designed to run 10-12 weeks from May to August. We aim to provide valuable experiences for all interns and the departments they are assigned to. Each intern will take the lead on a project (or projects) for the summer and present to other interns, internship supervisors, and executives at the end of the summer. We are looking for a full-time engineering intern to work in our growing Sauder Building Products group. The preferred major for this internship is industrial engineering. Priority will go to a student that has had some coursework in time study, standard work, process flow and mapping, and/or documentation. Possible projects the selected intern would lead or help with are to create standard work, complete time studies, do process flow mapping, and implementing a new assembly line and new processes. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION: Well versed in analytical problem solving Organized, focused and logical Learns quickly and works well in a team Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs and assignments Come with self-motivation and a desire to get things done Have a desire to learn Positive attitude and a healthy sense of humility Current college/university student Proficient in Microsoft Excel Sauder Woodworking Co. is North America's leading producer of ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture and one of the top five residential furniture manufacturers in the United States.
