Location: REMOTE W/ TRAVEL - Hybrid/Local to Warren, MI area (onsite twice per quarter – about 1 week at a time)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • 4+ years of experience implementing system engineering best practices, especially software system testing, and project management
  • Previous experience coordinating multi-faceted team for technical evaluation
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle controls, sensors, and functional safety

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of behavior, planning, and motion control of a robotic system
  • Experience in robotics/autonomous systems
  • Experience with MBSE using SysML, UML tools

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a System Test Engineer to work for a DoD customer based out of Warren, MI. This team is responsible for developing autonomous software for their robotic combat vehicles. This individual will be developing/maturing high level product requirements, leading architecture changes for autonomous software, and running tests for ground robotic combat vehicles. This role will require a secret clearance and Insight Global will process the ideal candidate for an interim clearance

Responsibilities Include:

  • Test coordination of quarterly/yearly software testing events
  • Develop test specifications to verify high level product requirements
  • Developing test plans for test cases
  • Willingness to develop and run tests using software, simulations, and/or vehicle
  • Ability to act as an integration and test engineer to collect data for ROS (robotic operating system) based autonomous ground vehicle systems
  • Willingness to drive architecture changes for autonomous software for ground combat vehicles

Compensation:

$85k to $110k.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
