Setting us apart from our competitors is our people./ppIf youre looking for a place where your hard work and great ideas make a difference--NIBCO is the place for you./ph3Position Info:/h3pDepartment/Category: Maintenance/ppJob Type: Hourly/ppShift: 12 hour Shift A3 - 7p to 7a/ppReports to: Maintenance Coordinator/ppPosition Summary:/ppThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for general and preventive maintenance work of machines, equipment building and plant facilities./ph3Responsibilities:/h3pResponsible for general maintenance work of mechanical equipment, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, quench conveyors, quench tanks, water leaks, etc./pp Preventive maintenance of facility equipment./pp Knowledge in the proper operation of welding equipment and cutting torch./pp Assists plant service specialist in mechanical and electrical work as required./pp Working knowledge of all plant utilities, locations, and color coding for servicing./pp Knowledge of OSHA standards which are required for proper installations and work for compliance of regulations./pp Utilize fall-arrest system to perform work at heights greater than 4 feet./pp Responsible for housekeeping of work area./pp Responsible for safety of oneself and others./pp Performs any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor./ph3Experience:/h3pMinimum of two years in maintenance field desired. Must maintain a good attendance record, have necessary tools, and strong ability/knowledge in at least one phase of maintenance work./ph3Education:/h3p High School Diploma or GED/pp Work-Ready Certificate a plus/ppCompetencies:/pp Able to achieve acceptable results on a standard Mechanical Aptitude test/pp Verbal written communication skills/pp Teamwork/cooperation/pp Detail orientated/pp Handle multiple priorities/ph3Training and Skills:/h3p Mechanical and pneumatic knowledge/pp Welding and cutting torch skills/pp Some electrical knowledge desired./ph3Physical Demands / Environmental Factors:/h3p Subject to standing for extended period/pp Working on wet surfaces/pp Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs. or more/pp Extreme temperatures up to 110 degrees in summer months/ppNIBCO is committed to equal opportunity employment.
