**WHO YOU ARE**

You will serve customers and extend great customer service by providing information to help with food and beverage selections, creating and presenting order choices, and maintain a great dining experience by promoting a warm and friendly atmosphere.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

* Take customers food and drink orders

* Ensure that all orders are accurate and delivered to each table in a timely manner

* Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials

* Make and serve drinks following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards.

* Properly set up bar, including stocking and batching

* Follow health and safety practices always

* Control allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer's order is taken and processed.

* Process payments from guests and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company.

* Completed all prep work prior to bar start time

* Serve food and/or beverage; ensuring consistency throughout meal

* Comply with all state and local liquor regulations

* Respond promptly to any guest request

* Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and mannerism

* Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall outstanding dining experience

* During service, maintain all work areas including any side work duties for overall productivity and success

* Once service is complete, all dining areas must be re-set

* Create a pleasurable dining experience for all of our guests

* Have fun at work; leave baggage at the door; come to work with a positive attitude ready and willing to help create a fun and memorable experience for our guests

* Work areas must be cleaned and all side duties completed before punching out for your shift

* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

**WHAT WE NEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)**

**Experience and/or Training** - Basic math skills required, must be able to add, subtract, and count change back to customer, legible handwriting, and strong customer service and oral communication skills. Must hold a valid Operators License. Must be 18 years or older.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

**Experience and/or Training** - Wine experience and/or certification. One year bartending experience preferred.

**PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to lift, carry, deliver and serve from trays weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the work shift, balance serving tray on one hand while distributing orders to customers with the other, carry and set up folding table to support particularly heavy orders, stand and walk continually throughout a four to eight hour shift, bend, stoop and reach while carrying serving trays weighing up to 50 pounds, take customer orders, review customer bills and smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas, attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Protective Clothing Required: Non-slip shoes

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
