This position is responsible for assisting the Site Capital Finance Senior Associate for the management of capital and fixed assets. This position provides financial support, analysis, and guidance for areas of write-offs, cost transfers, annual fixed asset inventory, and direct purchase asset support. This position ensures all transactions performed are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and Pfizer policies.
Responsibilities:
Determine the net book value of asset(s) when asked or during decommissioning or transfer processing
Obtain cost center owner(s) agreement prior to initiating process for write-offs or cost transfers
Initiate the write-offs and cost transfers as agreed upon
Complete site documentation as required
Facilitate the annual fixed asset inventory and impairment review and ensures completion. Submits tickets to update the asset subledger in SAP
Audit financial entries made by Global Finance Shared Services for accuracy. File for corrections
Support capital project capitalizations
Submit tickets to close purchase orders/capital project WBS during project closeout
Update the project information in the Equipment record in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 2+ years of experience
SAP competence
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Fixed asset accounting experience preferred
Competence in use of spreadsheets and other data analysis software
Direct knowledge and experience working with local and federal tax laws and general accounting policies preferred
Rate/Location:
$36 - $41 per hour
This is a hybrid position, candidates must be able to report onsite 2-3 days per week
