The Opportunity:

HKA's Forensic Accounting practice has expanded extensively in the past few years. As we gain more clients in new areas, such as Dallas, Texas, we need to maintain our level of service by adding stellar talent to our Forensic Accounting team.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and quantify economic damages, commercial litigation and remedies
  • Create high quality Expert Reports
  • Make strategic recommendations, identify issues, and communicate with the client and project team on the direction of the case.
  • Participate regularly Business Development and Networking opportunities in the local Dallas Area
  • Direct, review, and provide feedback on the work product and analyses of junior team members.
  • Communicate and lead meetings with counsel, clients, or other experts.
  • Prepare the testifying expert for deposition and trials.
  • Perform business development activities.
  • Deliver trainings and develop colleagues.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
  • A degree in a quantitative subject such as accounting, finance, economics, or business/management.
  • Minimum of 8 years of prior Forensic Accounting experience.
  • 3+ Years specifically focused in Valuation, Economic/Commercial Damages, and Litigation Support.
  • Experience and serious interest in supporting the business development and networking efforts.
  • One or more accounting or professional credentials (CPA, CFE, CFA, CLP)
  • Expert Testimony Experience highly preferred
  • Experience managing and staffing a team.
  • Ability to be in the office multiple days a week, including outside standard work hours for various business and networking initiatives.
