IT Director

SUMMARY

The IT Director will lead the IT function for the company, partnering closely with the CFO. This position will be responsible for IT strategy, cybersecurity, IT operations, and leadership of the IT Team. The successful candidate for this position will possess both the interest and the aptitude to accomplish both strategic and tactical work. This is a hybrid position based in our Golden Valley, MN office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

IT Strategy
Leverage strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and innovation within the organization.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to drive innovation within the organization.
Develop and execute the IT roadmap supporting business growth and scalability, in alignment with corporate strategy.
Provide expert and strategic advice to members of the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors on all technology matters affecting the organization.

Cybersecurity
Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data and information systems.
Approve and proactively enforce IT security policies and procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance and safeguard our data.
Ensure continuous and reliable delivery of IT services and infrastructure by creating disaster recovery plans, installation and testing of backup systems, and the development, maintenance, and regular auditing of information security mechanisms.
Devise strategies and implement IT solutions to minimize the risk of cyber-attacks.

IT Operations
Oversee the deployment and maintenance of all IT systems, including phones, servers, personal computers, operating systems, hardware, software, and security.
Identify, define and implement relevant IT policies, procedures and best practices.
Ensure end users receive appropriate support and training.
Provide oversight to third party vendors and IT consultants.
Manage the capital and expense budgets for the IT department, making strategic decisions on technology investments and cost-effective solutions.
Direct and manage capital projects to ensure target dates, milestones, and budget expectations are met.

People Leadership
Supervise, lead and coordinate the daily activities of the IT Team, including work direction, performance management, coaching, and development to maximize team and individual performance.
Provide mentoring and leadership to attract, develop, and retain talent.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:

Bachelor's degree or commensurate employment experience.
10+ years of broad IT experience.
5+ years of IT leadership/management experience.
Ability to anticipate and plan for future needs.
Ability to engage both strategically and tactically.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to travel to US and Canadian locations as needed (approximately 10%)

Desired:
Experience in the commodity industry.
